San Diego to hold public workshop on future Parks Master Plan

first_img KUSI Newsroom, April 23, 2019 KUSI Newsroom Posted: April 23, 2019 SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The city of San Diego will host the first of three workshops Tuesday to take public feedback on the future of the city’s parks.The workshop is part of the city’s outreach efforts as it prepares to establish a Parks Master Plan for the first time in more than 50 years. The plan will serve as a guide for the resource and funding needs of the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation in the immediate future.“The workshops are opportunities for residents to learn more about the Parks Master Plan and contribute ideas to help decide future parks and programs to meet the recreational needs of our citizens,” said city Planning Director Mike Hansen. “We encourage everyone to become involved in this important process.”The city plans to hold two more workshops over the next two weeks. The first will be held at 4 p.m. at the Balboa Park Club Ballroom at 2150 Pan American Road W.
